About the Position Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Major Gift Officer is part of a regional team of nine fundraising professionals charged with meeting an annual fund target of $5,000,000. He/she will establish growth oriented revenue targets and implement strategic fundraising plans to ensure the successful achievement of both team-wide and individual goals. The annual portfolio target for this key position is $350,000. The Major Gift Officer, will be responsible for a targeted portfolio that includes donors and prospects. He/she will balance this priority responsibility with serving as the regional lead for Ready 365, an annual investment program for corporate partners; engage and work with volunteers and Board members to identify, solicit and steward donors and prospects; and develop and execute ongoing strategies for all stages of donor development and prospecting. ... more >
