The CEO will be responsible for the development and implementation of the philanthropic program of the Foundation in an effort to increase fundraising capacity (individual, corporate, foundation), through a diversified development program including annual giving, major and principal gift cultivation and solicitation, planned giving, and donor stewardship. The CEO is responsible for the leadership, strategic direction, and supervision to the staff of the Foundation. This position reports directly to the Foundation's Board of Directors and works closely with the Executive Director of PBRC. An ideal candidate will effectively utilize his/her strong relationship building skills to engage the Board, major donors, stakeholders, and Center leadership to advance the mission of the organization. The CEO will also represent the Foundation at both internal and external events and activities, helping to elevate the profile and awareness of the organization and its mission.
Bachelor's degree with twelve (12) years of successful experience working in a public sector organization to include management and fundraising responsibilities. Senior-level management experience and the ability to effectively build a staff organization to achieve development goals and objectives. Working knowledge of nonprofit management, government reporting requirements, support fundamentals of Board of Directors and board committees. Working knowledge of the principles and practices of major gift fundraising including direct experience with major capital campaigns. Demonstrated management skills to organize, direct, motivate, and evaluate the efforts of professionals and volunteers. Unquestionable integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics.
