Conference Planner – Contract PositionCompany: Mental Health Association for Greater Baton Rouge
Date Posted: August 10, 2017
Mental Health Association for Greater Baton Rouge (MHA) is seeking to engage a professional with conference planning experience through a flat-fee contract. The First Annual MHA Conference will be held March 8-10 (only 1 session on morning of 3.10) at the Bishop Tracy Center in Baton Rouge. Initial planning is underway but many aspects of the conference have yet to be determined. As a first year conference, there are no historical documents or timelines. Creation of all of the initial conference collateral material, including the RFP, promotion, registration and dissemination plan will be part of the contract. The professional will take the lead on limited exhibit sales (table top only) and assist with recruitment of sponsors and partners. MHA’s annual fundraiser will be held on the evening of the 3/8 and all conference attendees will be invited to join. The Conference Planner will therefore have some responsibility for planning the fundraiser but will not be the primary. The planner will work closely with the Director of Development but must be able to develop and execute a plan independently. MHA would like to engage a professional by no later than the first week in September. Please send resume and client list to Stephanie Francis at firstname.lastname@example.org Questions may also be sent to this email.
