The Boys & Girls Club actively seeks to enrich the lives of girls and boys whom other youth agencies have failed to reach. We are dedicated to ensuring that our community’s disadvantaged youth have greater access to quality programs and services that will enhance their lives and shape their futures.

The Director of Development is responsible for utilizing the resources of the whole organization and communities to cultivate relationships and directly solicit & steward support for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge through, but not limited to, managing the annual operating campaigns, special events, endowment, capital and planned giving campaigns and grant writing. The Director of Development will work in cooperation with the President, Board of Trustees and Board of Governors to strategize and execute resource development plans.

The Director of Development also serves as the chief communication officer coordinating communication efforts including monthly and quarterly newsletters, social media posts and media relations.

The Director of Development Services will be responsible for maintaining all matters related to constituent records and gift processing, managing the database infrastructure and providing systems services

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree is required.  Minimum of five (5) years database management.  Familiarity with fundraising software. Must have strong written and personal communication skills.  Good organizational ability and interpersonal skills necessary.
